Let’s make this Christmas have a purpose

There are ways to close the year that leave a mark. At SC Trade Center, some time ago we decided to give Christmas a new meaning: transforming the gift budget into support for third-sector organizations that carry out essential work in our community.

Today we would like to introduce you to the Vinne Foundation, an organization that builds bridges between companies and social entities. We speak with its director, Lluïsa Espin, in an interview that clearly shows that social responsibility is not just an option, but a commitment to the future.

How would you define the mission of the Vinne Foundation?

Our statement is very clear: we connect responsible companies with essential social organizations. This is our reason for being. We work to ensure that the business world and the third sector meet, collaborate, and generate real impact.

What role does collaboration between companies and social organizations play in building a fairer society?
It is essential. We believe that companies should see third-sector organizations as professional, high-quality social service providers. When this collaboration exists, companies grow their value chain and help build a more inclusive and responsible society.

What are the main challenges when it comes to connecting the business world with the third sector?
One of the most important challenges is gaining recognition for the professionalism of people with functional diversity, especially in cases of invisible disabilities, such as intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum conditions. There is greater social empathy toward physical disabilities, but invisible ones are still very difficult to manage and understand. And these people are also great professionals.

What does it mean to you that a space like SC Trade Center gives visibility to your work?
It is very valuable. The Trade Center opened its doors to us from the very beginning, from the launch event to many other initiatives such as Sant Jordi or Christmas. It has allowed us to showcase the potential of our social suppliers, with top-quality products and services, and has helped us reach many companies that might not have discovered us otherwise.

Do you believe that this type of action has a multiplier effect?
Absolutely. It is the best publicity we can have: word of mouth. When a company gets to know us, trusts us, and works with us again, it means that something is changing. And when that happens, other companies also become interested. This multiplier effect is priceless.

What message would you give to companies that have not yet taken the step to collaborate with the Vinne Foundation?
I would tell them to give us a chance. To get to know us, to see how we work, to experience firsthand what we do and which organizations we collaborate with. We are convinced it will be a before and after.

How do you imagine the future of the Vinne Foundation?
Our ideal would be to eventually disappear. That would mean that the connection between mainstream companies and social organizations would happen naturally, without the need for intermediaries. There is still a long way to go, but this is our dream.

At SC Trade Center, we believe that companies have the opportunity—and the responsibility—to generate a positive impact beyond our daily activity. That is why, every Christmas, we choose to support initiatives that improve people’s lives.

In 2025, we do so alongside two exceptional organizations: the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients of Vallès Occidental and the Vinne Foundation, which brings together the business world and the third sector. Their work transforms realities, creates connections, and builds a fairer society.

If you are a company or a committed individual, we invite you to join in. Get to know them, give them visibility, collaborate. Every gesture counts, and every action can make a big difference.
